Ingredients
- 1 cup butter softened
- 2 cups white sugar
- 4 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
- 2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
- 3. Combine the flour and salt; stir into the creamed mixture alternately with the milk.
- 4. Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Bake for 40 to 50 minutes in the preheated oven. The cake is done when it springs back to the touch.
