Pound Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter softened
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk

Instructions

  • 1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  • 2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  • 3. Combine the flour and salt; stir into the creamed mixture alternately with the milk.
  • 4. Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Bake for 40 to 50 minutes in the preheated oven. The cake is done when it springs back to the touch.
