Slow Cooker Chili

Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion chopped
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 2 teaspoons ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 14.5 oz. can diced tomatoes
- 1 15 oz. can tomato sauce
- 2 15 oz. cans black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 cup beef broth
Instructions
- 1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- 2. Add the onion and garlic and cook until the onion is softened, about 5 minutes.
- 3. Add the chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper and cook, stirring, for 1 minute.
- 4. Add the ground beef and cook, breaking up the beef with a spoon, until it is browned, about 5 minutes.
- 5. Transfer the beef mixture to a slow cooker.
- 6. Add the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, black beans, and beef broth.
- 7. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours.
- 8. Serve and enjoy!
