Slow Cooker Chili

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 14.5 oz. can diced tomatoes
  • 1 15 oz. can tomato sauce
  • 2 15 oz. cans black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 cup beef broth

Instructions

  • 1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • 2. Add the onion and garlic and cook until the onion is softened, about 5 minutes.
  • 3. Add the chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper and cook, stirring, for 1 minute.
  • 4. Add the ground beef and cook, breaking up the beef with a spoon, until it is browned, about 5 minutes.
  • 5. Transfer the beef mixture to a slow cooker.
  • 6. Add the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, black beans, and beef broth.
  • 7. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours.
  • 8. Serve and enjoy!
