Paczki (Polish Donuts)

Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 3 tablespoons butter melted
- 1 egg
- ¾ cup warm milk
- Oil for frying
- Confectioners’ sugar for dusting
Instructions
- 1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
- 2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the melted butter, egg, and warm milk.
- 3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
- 4. Heat a few inches of oil in a large pot or deep fryer over medium heat.
- 5. Carefully drop spoonfuls of the dough into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, turning the doughnuts occasionally.
- 6. Remove the pÄ…czki from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain.
- 7. Dust the pączki with confectioners’ sugar. Serve warm
