Just one day after Eat What You Want Day, we have National Nutty Fudge Day.  This holiday celebrates a delicious and classic treat. Fudge has been around for centuries and is a favorite among many.

Fudge has been around for centuries and has been enjoyed by many around the world. It is believed that fudge was first created in the late 19th century when a candymaker accidentally left sugar and butter to boil for too long. The resulting fudge was so popular that it quickly spread throughout the United States and beyond. Over the years, people have experimented with different flavors and ingredients to create unique variations of fudge, including nutty fudge.

The earliest known recipe for nutty fudge was published in the United States in the early 20th century in a cookbook calledCandy Making Made Easy by Ruth Berolzheimer.

The term fudge is said to have come in the 17th century from the interjection fadge, meaning “to fit together in a clumsy manner”, and was originally used as a verb. Recipes were printed in many periodicals and advertisements during the 1880s.

Nutty fudge is a variation of this classic confection and is made with nuts added to the traditional fudge recipe. This type of fudge is a great way to add a little extra flavor and crunch to an already delicious treat.

There are countless variations of fudge, including traditional fudge, chocolate fudge, peanut butter fudge, and nutty fudge. Depending on the ingredients used, the possibilities for unique flavors are practically endless. For example, one can add different types of nuts to create a nutty fudge, or they can add spices such as cinnamon or nutmeg to create a spiced fudge. Different types of nuts and flavors can also be added to the traditional recipe, like walnuts, almonds, pistachios, hazelnuts, or cashews and various types of chocolateIn addition to adding a crunchy texture, nuts also add a unique flavor, allowing for endless possibilities when it comes to creating different flavors of nutty fudge.
