Strawberry Key Lime Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 Premade Pie Crust
  • 3 Egg yolks
  • 1 can condensed sweetened milk 14 oz
  • 3 tablespoons key lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon key lime juice separated
  • 2-3 tablespoons strawberry jam
  • 2-3 cups sliced fresh strawberries
  • Whip cream
  • Optional thin sliced almonds or crushed pecans

Instructions

  • Pie Crust
  • 1. Put pie crust in the oven at 400 degrees for 2 minutes.
  • 2. Put Pie crust in the fridge to cool for 15 minutes.
  • Pie Filling
  • 1. Put 3 egg yolks in a bowl.
  • 2. Add sweetened condensed milk.
  • 3. Add 3 Tablespoons of key lime juice.
  • 4. Whisk it all together until smooth and creamy.
  • 5. Pour into cooled down pie shell.
  • 6. Bake in the oven at 400 degrees for 15 minutes.
  • 7. Place on cooling rack for 15 minutes.
  • 8. Put in the fridge for 1.5 hours to set.
  • Strawberry ToppingĀ 
  • 1. 2 Tablespoons of strawberry jelly on top of the sliced fresh strawberries.
  • 2. Add extra tablespoon of key lime juice to strawberry jelly mixture.
  • 3. Mix it up.
  • Build the Pie
  • 1. Line the outside of the pie with whipped cream.
  • 2. Spoon sliced strawberries in the middle of pie.
  • 3. Optional sprinkle thin sliced almonds or crushed pecans on whipped cream.
