Combine all ingredients in a saucepan (or into a crock pot on low heat). and give them a quick stir.
Simmer your mixture very gently for 10 - 20 mins, keeping the lid on, and try to keep the mulled wine covered between servings.
Using a metal strainer, remove and discard everything but the liquid.
Serve warm topped with your favorite garnishes such as orange peels or cinnamon sticks.
