1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
2. Slice potatoes into very thin slices, about 1/8-inch thick.
3. Place slices in a large bowl and add the oil, salt, garlic powder, and pepper. Toss to coat.
4. Spread slices onto a baking sheet in a single layer.
5. Bake for 15 minutes, flip, and bake for an additional 10 minutes or until chips are crispy and golden brown.
