Baked Beans

Ingredients

  • 1 pound dried navy beans
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 cup cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 4 cups water
  • 1/2 pound bacon diced

Instructions

  • 1. Rinse and sort beans. Soak overnight in a large pot of water.
  • 2. Drain beans and return to pot. Add remaining ingredients except for bacon. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer for 1 hour.
  • 3. Grease slow cooker. Add beans and bacon. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours.
  • 4. Serve hot.
